About

Sarah Ziegel trained as a nurse nearly four decades ago and is now a mother with four autistic children. She has been blogging for seven years and is the author of two books.

She abandoned writing medical factsheets when her non identical twin boys were diagnosed with classic non verbal autism just before their third birthday.
Her middle son regressed at two, losing all language. Her youngest son never spoke. They were both diagnosed with autism at aged two.

Four non verbal autistic children in one family is a fairly unique challenge.

They are the only known family to have run four early intensive intervention ABA (applied behaviour analysis) programmes with their children, requiring a lengthy battle and three tribunals to win funding.

Sarah lives in Richmond, SW London with her husband Jonathan, their four boys, four cats and a tortoise.

When she has a minute to spare, she likes theatre, knitting and antique markets.
